RATE OF SPREAD DEVICE

This apparatus is used for determining the rate of spread of coated chippings on the road surface.
The device consists of a 300 mm square tray, lifted by 4 chains which are fixed on a spring balance.
The rate of spread is directly measured in kg/m2.
